This time, I would like to introduce three kinds of salad dressing based on SHIOKOBU & TUNAFLAKE.
Aemono means dressed foods in a salad dressing or a sauce. Simply dress your favorite vegetable or seafood and you’ll have a tasty appetizer in no time.Master the three types first!
Ingredients (2 Servings)
———————————– (A) Bok choy ———————————–
- 2 pieces Bok choy
- 1 canned LIGHT MEAT TUNA FLAKE (70g)
- 1 Tbsp SHIO KONBU (SEASSONED SEAWEED)
- As needed ICHIMI TOGARASHI
- As needed Sesame
———————————– (B) Avocado ———————————–
- 1 piece Avocado
- 1 canned LIGHT MEAT TUNA FLAKE (70g)
- 1 Tbsp SHIO KONBU (SEASSONED SEAWEED)
- 1 Tbsp KWEPIE MAYONNAISE
- 1/2 tsp NINBEN TSUYU NO MOTO
———————————– (C) Bitter melon———————————–
- 1 piece(3 oz) Bitter melon
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1 canned LIGHT MEAT TUNA FLAKE (70g)
- 1 Tbsp SHIO KONBU (SEASSONED SEAWEED)
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 pack DRIED BONITO
Instructions
———————————– (A) Bok choy ———————————–
①Cut the Bok choy into quarters lengthwise.
Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for about 2 minutes.
②Remove from heat, squeeze lightly, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
③Place the drained tuna in a bowl.Mix in the SHIO KONBU (SEASONED SEAWEED).Add Bok choy.
④Mix everything together and add sesame seeds. Add a dash of ICHIMI TOGARASHI to taste.
———————————– (B) Avocado ———————————–
Place tuna in a bowl.Add SHIO KONBU (SEASONED SEAWEED).Add mayonnaise.Pour in the MENTSUYU. Mix the ingredients.Add frozen avocado slices and mix.
📌 Freezing avocado may help you reduce food waste and keep this fruit on hand throughout the year. While most nutrients are preserved during freezing.
———————————– (C) Bitter melon———————————–
①Cut bitter melon in half, remove the guts, and slice thinly.Boil in boiling salted water for 1 minute.
②Remove to a colander and place in ice water.Place tuna in a bowl.
③Mix in the SHIO KONBU (SEASSONED SEAWEED).Mix in sesame oil.Add lightly squeezed bitter melon.Add bonito flakes to taste.

📌 Shiokonbu is delicious as a garnish for onigiri (rice balls), or simply sprinkled on cabbage or bitter gourd with sesame oil.
📌 When combined with vegetables, salted kelp has a synergistic effect that enhances flavor and nutrition.
